Default PvE Chaos dungeon

Its kinda silly going into all these areas like tombs and urgoz where everyone knows exactly what to bring. Go to urgoz as an assasin and people will just laugh (Well.. go anywhere as an assasin and people will laugh hehe but anwyays..). What if there was a "chaos" dungeon(s) where the only set thing about the monster spawns would be their level, and that only certain monsters will exist in the whole dungeon. Like you wouldn't find cuddy rabbit spawns in the "hell" chaos dungeon, there would be Aatxes and shadow warriors, and onis etc. But Onis and Mursatt might be in the same group, so you'd never have a set build that will just breeze through it. You shouldn't be able to go through urgoz with a 5 man trapping group -.-

Cuddly rabbit would be more scarry than anything....

Good idea. I do hope to see a randomize dungeon. Would add ALOT to replayablity.

So basically a high-lvl area like FOW and UW and SF and the Faction areas....

...except the spawning is random?

So you cant organise specialised teams and tactics.

If thats true then..

/signed.

The only issue I see is that you would still need to create situations where each profession is required.

Otherwise you will still have cases of "we dont need assassins" or "we dont need elementals" or "take this skill or we wont use you".

Sounds interesting and fun. I would like to see a time penalty too if you try to roll easier spawns or monsters should be so random but effective that no one can really say if the current spawn is easy or hard for their party.

Bringing the predictability of PvE down, means that people have to prepare their skillbars for more diverse things. Which in turn brings it closer to PvP, which I believe is one of ANet's goals?

Looking from that perspective, I would like to sign this. However, there is a group of players that wants to play GW without thinking, because they want to relax from work where they already did a lot of thinkwork.

I don't think it's a good idea to turn the whole of PvE to this sort of random match up system, but a single dungeon would probably be a good idea.

note that if you look at the spawns, you can already see some level of variety (warden spawns have sometimes mesmers, sometimes not. Oni's are meant to 'suprise').

Yeah I originally only thought of it as being one dungeon I just think it'd be so awesome to have something where you have no idea what to expect. Shiro clones, grawl working together with mursatt, undead rurik randomly popping in so you can kill him again and rejoice. Hell the greens could even be randomized. Random skin/random mods (pefect but random). And there could be one or two set monsters like chaos dwellers or Chaos dragons or something

Edit:I dont want my own thread to go off topic, but does anet even look at this forum? It'd be kind of a waste if we were all "wow this is cool! Um... yeah!"

I see randomize dungeons done in 3 ways (or mix/vary degree of them)

-Random Spawn Dungeon:
Where the overall layout of the dungeon/area are the same, but the monsters, bosses, and mob group spawn in each instance would be randomly assigned.

-Random Generated Dungeon:
Would be harder to do in GW's enviroment, but its where the whole dungeon would be generated on instanize, so that you would almost never enter into a same dungeon twice. The mob layout would be differnt too.

-Random Dungeon Entrance:
Would be where each time you enter a dungeon entrace, you will be randomly assigne to one of the pre-scripted dungeons (like how there are differnt battle map in PvP). It is bit more limited, as eventually you will played and get used to all of the possible dungeons, but it allow more scripted trigger events and quest/story.

In all case, such thing would be good, as it addes more replayablity to a game, keeping it constantly fresh.

"I'm Targetingl the cute little bunny."
insta-spawn random group of oni and spiders

I like it wonder if they'd add a bunny pelt to the rare goods trader

that would be a neat addition. would increase the variability amongst builds and the challenge. i also agree that white bunnies would be the scariest monster possible.

Only thing is that I'd wish it to be free, unlike UW and FoW (and Deep/Urgoz if you count paying/tipping the ferry). Too much wasted money on luck of the draw spawning (no way you can prepare for everything!).

Otherwise, /signed. Would keep things interesting.
